Rittman senior Lance Horner, pictured earlier this season, threw a two-hitter in the district semifinals, but the Indians, who hurt themselves with mistakes on both offense and defense, lost the district title game to Mogadore, 4-3.

Indians' mistakes costly in final

Rittman's baseball team did all the things a team cannot afford to do, particularly in the postseason, and was eliminated by Mogadore in the Barberton Division IV District championship game.

Chippewa's girls track team had a good all-around day at the WCAL track meet. Amanda Richmond and Emily Badock were in the center of a lot of the Chipps' success.

The academic, athletic and social achievements of Northwestern students were recognized.
