SEVILLE - Models displaying fashions from the Victorian Era wound their way through tables of diners on Saturday, May 7 at the Seville United Methodist Church while Velvet Eby narrated and described the styles that were favored by women from 1862 through 1912, the Golden Age of Fashion.

A luncheon that harkened back to an earlier time consisted of butternut squash soup, scones with Devonshire cream, broccoli quiche, lemon bread and assorted cakes, was accompanied by tea served in fine china cups and saucers.

While the 54 diners, some in fancy hats, all dressed for "tea", ate, violinist Kathy Nagy played music to dine by.

Mary Anne Rodgers, of Mary Anne's Special Teas, prepared the food while members of the church's youth group served and cleaned up. With sponsors Huddle House, Healthcare Innovative Solutions, Ohio Wholesale, Dr. William Sweeney and Chippewa Lake Lions covering all expenses, all proceeds from ticket sales, totaling over $1,000, went directly to the Seville Food Pantry.

Models were Michelle Fontana, Heather Green, Vicki Lyons, Sue Kirkendall and Rachael Wade. They were escorted by Bob Rodgers and Courtney Harlan.
